If you are interested in a painting or having a commission made I can imagine you need information. 

I am not satisfied until you are. So feel free to ask your questions. Below I share all the general information in advance.

BUY AN ORIGINAL PAINTING

  • I only work with high quality paint and canvas.
  • Do you want your painting framed? I can arrange that for you. I work with a good local framer (kadersenkunst.nl).
  • After payment I take care of shipping.
  • I ship my work in a wooden box.
  • I fill out the paperwork for international shipping. 
  • A package is often several days in transit. You receive a track n trace code from me and I send you a short message with a daily update. 
  • I have been using Fed-ex service with satisfaction for ten years.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENT

  • Customs may contact you to confirm that you are the recipient of the work in question. 
  • I follow this process daily, providing updates and assisting where necessary in establishing contact between you and the customs official. 
  • Outside the EU, there is sometimes an import tax on art. The percentage varies by country. In the UK, for example, it is 5% of the purchase amount.
  • You pay the import tax yourself. 

ORDER YOUR OWN COMMISSION:

  • Where one client has a detailed plan, another would like to brainstorm about the desired composition based on various sketches.
  • Prices depend on sizes and number of people on the canvas, see the overview below.
  • I prefer to meet you in person and take pictures on location. Often that is not an option due to distance, of course there is then also the possibility to work with photos or a combination of several photos. 
  • To make sure that you are really satisfied with your purchase, I have two feedback rounds.
